Selmanagić, an architect, urban planner, designer, and university professor from Bosnia and Herzegovina, gained special recognition for his seminar chair project (Seminarstuhl), which he developed in 1949 in collaboration with Falkenberg and Hirche. This chair was used in numerous educational institutions, including Humboldt University in Berlin and the Higher Party School "Karl Marx" in Kleinmachnow. Its special value lay in the shorter armrests, which did not interfere with writing.
